Wednesday Movie Club: PAN'S LABYRINTH

Wednesday Movie Club: PAN'S LABYRINTH In-Person

This film is being presented as part of the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library's Wednesday Movie Club, a weekly showcase of movies that matter for people who love movies. Attendees will be invited to discuss the film immediately following the screening. Registration is not required.

Our monthly "weird but wonderful" series continues this week with Guillermo del Toro's PAN'S LABYRINTH.  Heralded as "Alice in Wonderland for grown-ups," this dark fairy tale meticulously blends fantasy and reality to tell the story of a young girl, Ofelia, who encounters the faun, Pan, while exploring the old ruined labyrinth behind her family's decrepit home. Regarded as one of the best movies of the 2000s, PAN'S LABYRINTH won three Academy Awards and the 2006 Hugo Award for best long-form drama.  ****Note: this movie is also being shown as part of our month-long "Spooky Season Showcase," so prepare to be at least a little afraid.
