Wednesday Movie Club: "The Best Movie You (Probably) Haven't Seen" In-Person
This film is being presented as part of the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library's Wednesday Movie Club, a weekly showcase of movies that matter for people who love movies. Attendees will be invited to discuss the film immediately following the screening. Registration is not required.
Each month, we aim to bring you a lesser-known yet remarkable film. You may not have heard of these titles, but if you trust us enough to show up, we promise you'll see something that will make you laugh, cry, see the world through different eyes, or marvel at the power of cinema.
This month's selection is Ruben Östlund's FORCE MAJEURE. Named one of the best films of 2014, this Swedish black comedy follows a family on a ski vacation in the French Alps and the repercussions of a father's fateful decision in the face of apparent danger. As Washington Post critic, Ann Hornaday, writes, "FORCE MAJEURE leaves the audience squirming - in all the very best ways." You'll want to see this one with someone you trust to stick around in an avalanche.
