Wednesday Movie Club: DIE HARD

Wednesday Movie Club: DIE HARD In-Person

This film is being presented as part of the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library's Wednesday Movie Club, a weekly showcase of movies that matter for people who love movies. Attendees will be invited to discuss the film immediately following the screening. Registration is not required.

Libraries are meant to "provide materials and information presenting all points of view." So we would like to make clear: if there was any evidence that DIE HARD is not a Christmas movie, we would be happy to share that information with you.  But the film takes place during a holiday party, sports a soundtrack chock full of Christmas songs, and even features a festive "ho, ho, ho."  It's clearly a Christmas movie (if not one of the greatest Christmas movies ever made) and anyone who claims otherwise is obviously just trying to divide us.

So, if you're in the market for some Christmas cheer, we hope you'll join us for a screening of this quintessential holiday favorite... which also happens to be one of the most iconic action films of all time.  Featuring career-making performances by Bruce Willis and Alan Rickman, DIE HARD is a "must-see" for anyone who hasn't seen it and a guaranteed good time for anyone who has.
