Whose Shadow? Groundhogs and Winter's End In-Person
We all hear about Punxsutawney Phil and his shadow on February 2nd, but does a groundhog’s shadow have anything to do with when winter ends? Learn about the history of Groundhog Day with our own Mayor John Pribonic in a fun, silly Groundhog Day celebration. Then, learn how animal behavior can signify winter’s end in this program for families. This program is geared toward older preschool and elementary school-age children, but all are welcome. Registration for this free program is required and begins December 1 at 9 AM. To register, call (330) 688-3295, ext. 5, visit events.smfpl.org, or stop by the library.
Connect with nature just outside your door. This winter, the City of Stow Parks and Recreation Department and Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library have partnered to present outdoor programs for area residents.
