WEDNESDAY MOVIE CLUB: LOVING

WEDNESDAY MOVIE CLUB: LOVING In-Person

This film is being presented as part of the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library's Wednesday Movie Club, a weekly showcase of movies that matter for people who love movies.  Attendees will be invited to discuss the film immediately following the screening. Registration is not required.

This week our film club screening falls on what would have been Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s 96th birthday. To mark the occasion, we'll be watching the 2016 biopic, LOVING, which tells the story of the Virginian interracial couple Richard and Mildred Loving, whose arrest in 1958 for violating the state's miscegenation laws led to a landmark Supreme Court decision.  Described as "Touching, earnest, and important...LOVING reminds us of the basic human rights we take for granted and how recent it was that they were not an option."
