Become a Dementia Friend

Become a Dementia Friend In-Person

What is a Dementia Friend? A Dementia Friend learns about dementia and then turns that understanding into action. We all have a part to play in creating dementia- friendly communities.  Learn what dementia is (and isn't) and how to support those living with dementia.

About the presenter: Barb White is retired after 31 years of service with the Akron-Summit County Public Library (in early childhood, adult services, and public services administration). She continues her commitment to Dementia-Inclusive communities as both Dementia Friends Champion and Champions Coach, the founding member of Dementia Friendly Summit County (OH), and Education and Programming Committee Chair with Dementia Action Alliance.
