We’re kicking off 2026 with a month-long celebration of unlikely heroes—characters who remind us that courage takes many forms. Sometimes heroism looks like defying expectations, sometimes it’s standing up for what’s right, and sometimes it’s simply showing up for the people you love.
Part modern-day Mark Twain adventure, part feel-good road movie, The Peanut Butter Falcon tells the story of Zak, a young man with Down syndrome who escapes his nursing home to chase his dream of becoming a professional wrestler. Along the way, he teams up with a scruffy outlaw (Shia LaBeouf) and a kind-hearted social worker (Dakota Johnson) who help him on his journey. Funny, tender, and life-affirming, the film celebrates difference without sentimentality and honors the quiet bravery it takes to reach for something bigger than the world expects of you.
