Wednesday Movie Club: MISSING

Wednesday Movie Club: MISSING In-Person

This film is being presented as part of the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library's Wednesday Movie Club, a weekly showcase of movies that matter for people who love movies.  Attendees will be invited to discuss the film immediately following the screening. Registration is not required.

This month, we’re showcasing films that rewrite the rules of cinema by rethinking how stories can be told on screen. Through bold format choices and inventive use of the medium, these films challenge our expectations while deepening emotional impact.  Together, they remind us that cinema is still evolving, and experimentation can be thrilling.

This week, we continue the series with MISSING, a fast-paced thriller told entirely through phone screens, video calls, search engines, and digital breadcrumbs.  Starring Storm Reid and directed by Nick Johnson and Will Merrick, the film follows a daughter racing to solve her mother’s disappearance from thousands of miles away.  By unfolding completely within the digital interfaces that shape modern life, MISSING rewrites the rules of cinematic perspective, transforming everyday screens into a suspense engine and asking what storytelling looks like in an era where truth, identity, and connection exist online.
