Women in History: Victoria Woodhull In-Person
Presenter Susan Cannavino will talk about Victoria Woodhull, a women's suffrage movement leader. She was the first woman to own a brokerage firm on Wall Street, the first woman to start a weekly newspaper, and an activist for women's rights and labor reform. And even though she had not yet reached the Constitutionally mandated age of 35 to serve as President, Victoria Woodhull is still regarded as the first female presidential candidate.
