Wednesday Movie Club: WHATEVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE

Wednesday Movie Club: WHATEVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE In-Person

This film is being presented as part of the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library's Wednesday Movie Club, a weekly showcase of movies that matter for people who love movies.  Attendees will be invited to discuss the film immediately following the screening. Registration is not required.

This October we'll be exploring the spookier side of cinema, starting with a staple of psychological horror: What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?  This deliciously twisted classic stars Hollywood legends Bette Davis and Joan Crawford as two reclusive sisters locked in a chilling battle of wills inside a crumbling Hollywood mansion. More unsettling than gory, the film serves up slow-burn suspense, eerie atmosphere and unforgettable performances.  Nominated for five Academy Awards, this film has become a landmark in both horror and camp cinema, inspiring countless thrillers in its wake.  If you love movies that get under your skin (without making you cover your eyes), this is one you don’t want to miss.
