Wednesday Movie Club: CINEMA PARADISO

Wednesday Movie Club: CINEMA PARADISO In-Person

This film is being presented as part of the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library's Wednesday Movie Club, a weekly showcase of movies that matter for people who love movies.  Attendees will be invited to discuss the film immediately following the screening. Registration is not required.

This September, our Wednesday Movie Club is proud to celebrate the remarkable artistry of Maestro Ennio Morricone, one of the greatest film composers of all time. A classically trained composer and technical master—often compared with all-time greats like Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart—Morricone elevated the art of film scoring, creating themes that are instantly recognizable, profoundly moving, and forever tied to the magic of cinema.

Our celebration continues with Giuseppe Tornatore’s beloved classic, CINEMA PARADISO. This Oscar winner is a heartfelt tribute to childhood, first love, and the joy of going to the movies. Morricone's tender score perfectly accompanies this story of a young boy's lifelong bond with a village projectionist. Bittersweet, funny, and deeply human, it's a beautiful reminder of how film—and music—can shape our lives.
