Wednesday Movie Club: THE DISH

Wednesday Movie Club: THE DISH In-Person

This film is being presented as part of the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library's Wednesday Movie Club, a weekly showcase of movies that matter for people who love movies.  Attendees will be invited to discuss the film immediately following the screening. Registration is not required.

Odds are you've never heard of THE DISH or the team of Australian scientists who operated the ground station that transmitted the footage of Apollo 11's historic moon landing. But if you join us for this week's movie club, we promise this is a film and a slice of history you'll never forget. Set in a small Australian town with far more sheep than people, THE DISH follows the quirky team of scientists tasked with relaying Neil Armstrong's historic first steps on the moon to the world. With heart, humor, and a touch of brilliance, this week's selection is a delightful celebration of teamwork, innovation, and the unexpected heroes behind one of humanity's greatest achievements... which coincidentally occurred on this date 56 years ago.
